A Heart for Serving Our Community

In recent years, First United Methodist Church in downtown Lancaster has been wrestling with a challenge that many congregations face. More than a decade ago, the congregation purchased several residential properties next to their church building to ease their parking burden, resulting in responsibility for managing thirteen apartments and one single-family home functioning as naturally occurring affordable housing.
